The Branding workshop researches the most relevant and up-to-date trend information from a number of sources to help you, our clients, better anticipate market needs and really make informed business decisions.
Once you are ‘on trend’, and know where the market is going, we can then help you to make sure that your brand strategy, i.e brand’s tone of voice, marketing, advertising and PR messages are all appropriately aligned, are coherent, and consistent.
By explaining how consumer trends and profiling works, and by showing you what’s new and what’s next, we can then help you to evaluate where your brand needs to be in relation to markets as they are, as they are set to become.
Trends have 3 distinct forms:
Short term: Fads
3 to 6 months life expectancy (often even shorter ) IN/OUT phenomenon. Often fashion fads.
Medium term: Evolutions
2 to 3 years linked with economic and social issues, giving rise especially to attitudes that can be forecasted. These eventually may spread from a niche market to mass-market.
Long term: Macro-trends
5 to 10 years at least: Changes that affect at a deep level, the way we act, live and consume. These are values, culture, and technology driven.
A new workshop that explains the use of consumer profiles, and outlines current consumer trends is available as an introductory half day workshop. We also conduct live surgeries with small retailers and SME’s especially in the creative sectors.
