Glotech
Glotech is an established company with a new name, retailing kitchens and kitchen appliances in North London. Currently run by the Reeves brothers, who inherited the business from their father, the time had come for a revitalise of the trading outlets that had been established for over 30 years.
The client’s objectives
- Create a new name and visual identity to bring cohesion to their four outlets
- To establish themselves as a premium retailer whilst continuing to service their existing and loyal customer base
The Branding Workshop’s help
Building on the business’ achievement over many years without alienating their customer base is a challenging undertaking. A consistent visual appearance as well as a unifying name needed to be developed.
Sitting round the kitchen table, over countless cups of tea and coffee, the family team thought about what they currently stood for and what were the requirements for a brand in the developing market. If the project was to work they had to speak in such a way, that both their new and existing customers could understand ...what promise would they make to their customers.
Five ways that Glotech 'make it easy' was created as a device to help customers engage fully with the value of the brand. Great knowledge, 'fab' customer service and no stress, were seen as the brand strengths. A programme of work was undertaken to make this real within the company.
Talking with existing customers revealed that extra services such as installation of appliances would be a significant benefit, so they built this into their offer.
The creation of a brand strategy that could be developed through many different channels to market was established.
Ameer Design was commissioned to create an inspirational corporate identity to bring the brand to life. This has been rolled out across the shop fascias, vehicles, corporate clothing, website, stationary, marketing and advertising. And boy do they look smart!
